Passenger Service Unit Rail Cover

Task:
To develop a visible plastic profile for the overhead lockers on an aircraft.
The challenge consisted of the difficult processing of the material PEI released for use on board aircraft while meeting the demanding requirement for precision geometry as well as specific requirements relating to the surface of the profile.

Solution:
The profile was developed and agreed with the client based on series-quality samples which were produced within four weeks. Our high-end extrusion process allows the reliable processing of polyetherimide. All requirements such as the smallest geometric tolerances and surfaces which were as smooth as possible were easily met. The first series profiles were supplied within four weeks.
