Guide rail for a display shelving system

Task:
To develop a contact rail for use in large display shelving systems. Special requirements: the material must have good slidability so that the display shelves can be adjusted easily without getting stuck and an integrated power supply must be provided for data flows. In addition, industry-specific fire protection provisions were to be complied with.

Solution:
Series-quality samples were produced within two weeks. The processing of polyamide 6 VO using the Technoform high-end extrusion process met all the requirements set. The very small geometric tolerance of  0.05 mm reliably ensures the required adjustability. The precise integration of the copper inserts guarantees the secure transmission of data. The material is halogen-free and yellow card certification is held in accordance with statutory provisions. The first series profiles were supplied within three weeks.
